The 83-acre Palisades Park offers four hiking trails and a panoramic view of rolling hills and plateaus from an elevation of 1,300 feet. Located atop Ebell Mountain five miles north of Oneonta, the park's "Inspiration Point" allows breathtaking views of the area while two pioneer cabins and a schoolhouse allow a look into the region's past. The park is an ideal site for picnicking and is well known by rock climbers as one of the best areas in the northern Alabama area.
